Black History Month: walks, library stories and Lyric’s For the Culture festival
Hammersmith BID has rounded up October events celebrating Black heritage across the town centre, library and Lyric Hammersmith.
October is Black History Month, and Hammersmith BID’s guide gathers exhibitions, music, a guided walking tour and library sessions around W6.
Highlights they list include a guided Black History walking tour from Hammersmith Road, children’s author Kamapala Chukwuka at Hammersmith Library on 28 October, and Lyric Hammersmith’s For the Culture: Celebrations of Blackness festival running through 31 October with performances, podcasts and masterclasses.
Ticket links and remaining capacity change quickly — book via the organisers linked from the BID article rather than relying on a static copy here.
